Davison Will Play For A State Championship At Ford Field

The Davison Cardinal football team is heading to Ford Field on Saturday to play in their first ever state championship game.

Davison took care of business in the state semi finals last weekend, beating Sterling Heights Stevenson in overtime. This has been a historic season for the Cardinals, and now they can win their first ever football state championship.

Davison has ridden their offense throughout most of the year, but it was their defense that sealed the win on Saturday.

Now Davison has to do one of the hardest things in sports. They have to come down from a huge win, and prepare for the biggest game of their lives.

Everyone thought that the Cardinals would be facing off against a state powerhouse in Belleville, but Brighton had other plans. Brighton pulled off a huge upset beating Belleville this weekend.

This sets up the Division I championship game between Davison and Brighton. Both teams are 11-2, and both are in the state championship for the first time.
